# Privacy Policy — Genix Connect

Genix Connect collects the following information to provide its services:

- **Phone number** — used for login via OTP verification
- **Student profile data** — name, grade, school name, date of birth, gender, parent contact details entered by the tuition teacher
- **Attendance records** — daily attendance marked by the teacher
- **Fee payment records** — monthly fee status updated by teacher or student
- **Leave requests** — submitted by students
- **Device push token** — used to send push notifications to your device

## 2. How We Use Your Information

- To authenticate your identity via phone OTP
- To display your attendance, fee status and academic records
- To send push notifications about leave approvals, fee reminders and announcements
- To enable fee payments via UPI

## 3. Data Storage

All data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) servers. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

## 4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties except:
- **Google Firebase** — for database and authentication services
- **Expo Push Notifications** — for delivering push notifications to your device

## 5. Data Retention

Student data is retained as long as the student is enrolled. Teachers may delete student records at any time from within the app.

## 6. Children's Privacy

Genix Connect is designed for use by students under teacher supervision. Student profiles are created and managed by the teacher. We do not knowingly collect data from children without teacher/parent involvement.

## 7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data by contacting the tuition teacher who manages your account, or by emailing us at the contact below.
